International Women’s Day 2026 A Red Salute to All Fighting Women |

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist) congratulates the fighting women the world over who are in the front ranks of the struggle to end the exploitation, oppression and wars of annihilation the rulers within their own countries and internationally are waging against them. Their courage, resilience and determination are the quality which heralds the new world striving to be born. It inspires the peoples everywhere to fight for peace, freedom and democracy because it is their fight which brings that new world into being, even in the darkest hours before the dawn.
We stand with the women in Iran, who the U.S. are targeting even as they claim to do so in defence of the rights of Iranian women. We stand with the women in Palestine and Lebanon whose homelands, without their resistance to U.S./Zionist aggression, would be no longer. We stand with the women in Cuba who continue to resist the most brutal violation of their human rights with their homeland being deprived of food, medicine, energy and the ability to develop the economy in the way they see fit. We express our confidence in the resistance struggles being waged with women in the front ranks all over Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and by the women of Europe and Oceania. To the fighting women in the United States we send a Red Salute and pledge to not falter in our duty to join and support them. [More]
