No to Quebec Bill 69 Privatizing Hydro-Québec!
Shame on the Legault Government!
Stop Paying the Rich!
|
|
Quebec Bill 69, the oligarch government’s energy bill, was adopted after the Legault government imposed closure, a gag order to limit debate, very early on the morning of Saturday, June 7. After several hours of “debate,” an electronic vote was requested around 4:30 am. Only a few members spent the night in the National Assembly. The result of the vote: 67 for, 32 against, and zero abstentions.
The Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) thus removes all obstacles to the privatization of Hydro-Québec and rate increases to pay the rich and finance the oligarchs’ schemes to act with impunity in putting all the resources of Quebec at their disposal. [More]
